Adventist Special Character

Adventist Special Character is defined by the distinctive qualities and values common to Adventist Education. In New Zealand, state-integrated schools are termed ‘special character’ schools as they merge the state-based curricula, standards and levels with distinctive qualities of Adventist Special Character.

Values

  • Living in a loving relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Making a positive difference in the lives of others.

The Role of ‘The Proprietor’

Committed to responsible stewardship and wise governance

The New Zealand Seventh-day Adventist Schools Association Limited owns, administers and is responsible for the maintenance of Adventist Schools in New Zealand while the day-to-day operation of schools is funded by the Ministry of Education. This integration is mutually beneficial to both parties and enables parents to choose a faith-based education as an affordable alternative to state or private schooling.

Tertiary Scholarships

Committed to ongoing education and training for Christian service

A limited number of scholarships for undergraduate and post-graduate study are available to eligible students in the NZPUC. Strict residential, academic and lifestyle criteria apply in each case.
